The Sub-Committee is a forum for consultation and discussion on technical and policy matters related to aquaculture and on the work to be performed by the Organization in the subject matter field of aquaculture.
The 11th Session will identify and discuss major issues and trends in global aquaculture development, determine those issues and trends of international importance requiring action to increase the sustainable contribution of aquaculture to food security, economic development and poverty alleviation as well as recommend international action to address aquaculture development needs.
As part of our commitments to the goals of the 11th Session of the COFI Sub-Committee on Aquaculture, WorldFish will continue to advance research and innovations to inspire and inform action on sustainable aquaculture production. Through our research and innovation, we will promote key actions to support this integrated approach in relation to WorldFish's '2030 Research and Innovation Strategy' and CGIAR's initiative in 'Resilient Aquatic Foods for Healthy People and Planet.'
