The Committee on Fisheries (COFI), is the only global inter-governmental forum where FAO Members meet to review and consider issues and challenges related to fisheries and aquaculture. The 35th Session of COFI is a unique body in that it provides periodic global recommendations and policy advice to governments, regional fishery bodies, civil society organizations, and actors from the private sector and the international community.

At COFI35, WorldFish and partners celebrated the 2022 International Year for Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IYAFA 2022) and highlighted key findings from the Illuminating Hidden Harvests in the interests of resource sustainability, including biodiversity conservation, in artisanal fisheries and aquaculture.

Stay up to date with the latest information by following WorldFish and the hashtag #aquaticfoods to join the virtual dialogue on Twitter.

We look forward to your active participation.
