A virtual convening of key stakeholders across food systems to discuss ways to boost sustainable consumption of healthy and nutritious diets.

In this virtual discussion hosted by World Wildlife Fund (WWF-US), prominent global leaders from the areas of health, nutrition and environmental conservation came together to discuss the their perspectives on guiding visions for sustainable food systems future for all.

WorldFish’s Global Lead for Nutrition and Public Health, Shakuntala Thilsted, joined the expert panel to discuss the contributions of aquatic foods in delivering nutrition-sensitive diets that are socially equitable to poor communities in low-and middle- income countries.

Thilsted shared her experiences applying nutrition-sensitive approaches to aquatic food systems, from production to consumption, to provide families and small-scale farmers with access to nutritious aquatic foods for household consumption and income-generation.
