The Australian Crypto Convention will host a panel discussion on 'Crypto For Good' in collaboration with AgUnity and the AgriUT foundation, to discuss pathways to help lift small-scale fishers and farmers out of poverty with the use of digital utility tokens such as NFTs and smart contracts.

WorldFish's Fisheries Scientist and Marine Ecologist, Alexander Tilley, will share how the largest online repository for aquatic species data in the world known as FishBase.org can sponsor research, improve conservation and inform data-deficient communities in low-and-middle-income countries on the management of marine and freshwater systems.

Together with other invited panel speakers from AgUnity, Greater Outcomes and partners, they will also explore the best of web3 technology to help solve real-world conservation issues on climate, environment, health and food and nutrition security, to build a thriving community of informed and engaged ‘custodians’ of marine life.

Stay updated with the latest information by following WorldFish and the hashtag #aquaticfoods to join the virtual dialogue on Twitter.

We look forward to your active participation.
