Hosted by USSEC in partnership with WorldFish Egypt, the event highlighted the challenges and opportunities to boost the resilience and sustainability of aquaculture production and aquatic animal health in Egypt.
The event brought together aquaculture production experts from Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) to discuss and share their knowledge on the best management practice to managing common fish diseases, enhancing fish health using nutritional strategy and controlling fish disease outbreaks.
WorldFish’s Fish Health Specialist for Sustainable Aquaculture, Shimaa Ali, drew on her work in Egypt to highlight farming operation risks and best management practices to handling fish diseases and mortality in the summer time.
