The GOBESHONA conference brought together a distinguished and multidisciplinary group of scholars, policy-makers, researchers, practitioners and supporters of LLA from around the world to share their knowledge and experience on scaling up climate-related research, innovation and development progress locally, nationally and globally.
Hosted by the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), the conference connected stakeholders, encourage initiatives and built partnerships and collaborations through research and practice in support of locally-led actions to boost climate-resilience efforts in developing countries.
WorldFish’s Research Program Leader for Climate Change, Essam Yassin Mohammed, and Post-doctoral Research Scientist for Climate Change in Bangladesh, Peerzadi Rumana Hossain, drew on their work and experience on climate-smart innovations in aquatic food systems and lead the session on “Climate Information Services for Fisheries and Aquaculture.”
