In this independent food systems dialogue hosted by International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), food system producers, value chain actors, consumers and policymakers, convened to exchange innovative solutions and collaboration to build on the resilience of Southeast Asia’s food systems, as part of their post-COVID-19 recovery plans.
The panel discussed barriers and opportunities within food and nutrition security as well as key research outcomes to steer strategic development and policy reform in response to the challenge of nourishing the poor and vulnerable across Southeast Asian countries.
WorldFish’s Global Lead in Nutrition and Public Health and recent 2021 World Food Prize Laureate, Shakuntala Thilsted joined the panel to draw on her expertise as Vice Chair of the Summit’s Action Track 4 on ‘Advancing Equitable Livelihoods.'
