The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) 2022 Doctoral Award Ceremony celebrates those who have recently completed their doctoral studies, honorary doctors and jubilee doctors. It recognizes those who have contributed to our university in various ways. The day before the doctoral award ceremony, we had the opportunity to listen to the eight honorary doctors of 2022.
Among the presenters was WorldFish's Global Lead for Nutrition and Public Health and the 2021 World Food Prize Laureate, Shakuntala Haraksingh Thilsted, who has been appointed as the honorary doctor at SLU's Faculty of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences, who led a discussion on the 'Transformation of food systems: Aquatic foods for nourishing people and planet.'
