In this Affiliated Session on ‘Tackling a real problem with proven solutions - How gender-transformative approaches are key for just and sustainable food systems’ hosted by CGIAR Gender, government, civil society, academic, private sector and, most importantly, small-scale women, convened to discuss a cluster of solutions around integrating transformative approaches.
WorldFish’s Gender Research Lead, Cynthia McDougall joined the panel of experts to share her insights on the creation of an alliance of global and national financial institutions to implement gender-transformative finance mechanisms; developing a campaign to tackle harmful social and gender norms, customs, and values, and; creating an alliance of countries adopting feminist food systems policies.
