The World Seafood Congress (WSC) 2019 invites participants from all over the world to attend this biannual global event which is scheduled to be held on 9-11 September 2019 in Penang, Malaysia. On Sunday, 8 September 2019, WorldFish will be organizing and hosting a pre-congress workshop at WorldFish Headquarters, Penang. The Networking Pre-Congress Workshop/IAFI meeting will be attended by 50 representatives of fisheries inspector and among the members are delegates from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Association of Fish Inspectors (IAFI).

The session will commence with an introductory speech by the representative from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), WorldFish and the International Association of Fish Inspectors (IAFI). The workshop session will include Foresight Study presentation, breakout session & discussion, casual Networking session as well as a presentation by the winner of 2019 Peter Howgate Award, Ms. Stella Mbabazi from Uganda and Mr. Justin Sundarrajan from India.
