Global conference: Towards an inclusive blue economy

International Institute for Environmental and Development (IIED) will host an international event to discuss how to develop a marine economy that is fair and sustainable that will bring together ocean experts, policymakers, fisheries associations, business and civil society representatives and stakeholders to consider strategies for developing national economies that protect marine resources and people's livelihoods and make sure that the benefits of the ocean are shared equitably.

The third session of the 2020/2021 SAFET Virtual Conference, Technologies for Small Scale Fisheries was an interactive and informative session that presented some of the latest implementations of technologies for improving small scale fisheries, followed by a virtual technology expo which provided opportunities for technology service providers to engage with conference participants.

CFS High-Level Special Event on Strengthening Global Governance of Food Security and Nutrition

In lieu of CFS 47 which has been rescheduled to 8 - 12 February 2021 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) is organizing a High-Level Virtual Special Event on Food Security and Nutrition from 13-15 October, 2020 to keep food security and nutrition front and centre on the global sustainable development agenda.
