Small-scale fisheries, food security and wholesome nutrition: Understanding, appreciating and interrogating the linkages
Small-scale fisheries are the backbone of the marine and inland fisheries sector in Asia. However, the many millions of men and women involved in these small-scale activities of harvesting, processing and marketing continue to be faced with numerous challenges and fewer meaningful opportunities.
A month-long of activities to raise awareness on the importance of maintaining healthy diets, food accessibility, and proper hygiene in observation of Nutrition Month during the COVID-19 pandemic in Myanmar.
This presentation summarizes the findings from a literature review conducted for two CGIAR Research Programs (CRPs) on Fish-Agri Food Systems (FISH), led by WorldFish and Roots, Tubers and Bananas (RTB) led by CIP. The report was commissioned to document linkages between fish, roots, tubers and bananas within agri-food systems; identify opportunities for strengthened integration in production systems, animal feed and nutritional products; and simultaneously identify constraints, research gaps and provide policy recommendations that support nutrition-smart agriculture.
A virtual forum for attendees to ask questions on topics for game-changing and systemic solutions to achieve the Action Track 4 (AT4): Advance Equitable Livelihoods goals to the to the AT4 leadership team.

His Excellency Francis N. Muhoro, the Kenya High Commissioner to Malaysia will be visiting WorldFish Headquarters in Penang, Malaysia on Wednesday, 14 August 2019. The visit is part of the High Commissioner's effort to have a discussion on a number of areas of interest particularly the blue economy that Kenya is playing a leading role in Africa, also to learn more about WorldFish areas of research.
The Chatham House International Forum on Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUU) brought together leading policymakers, researchers, industry representatives and civil society groups from across the world to discuss the latest initiatives, regulations and research in the areas of fisheries governance and trade in i
