Corona Virus Disease - 2019 (COVID-19) was first identified in Wuhan, China in 2019. On 11 March 2020 World Health Organization (WHO) declared the disease as a pandemic. As of 29 March 2020, the disease has spread to nearly 200 countries, causing infection of approximately 600,000 and deaths of about 27,000 people in the world (WHO, 2020). In Bangladesh, the disease was first reported on 7 March 2020 (Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research, 2020). As a precautionary measure, the Government of Bangladesh announced a countrywide lockdown from the 26th March to 4th April 2020. The number of infected people in this country is increasing. It is still difficult to predict the future situation in Bangladesh. The European Commission (EC) and WorldFish signed an agreement to implement the “Artemia4Bangladesh” project effective from the 6th March 2020. COVID 19 has affected and will delay implementation of the inception of the project. A technical risk assessment and mitigation plan and anticipated financial implications and mitigation measures were summarized for the discussion with European Union Delegation office, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
