Presentation Abstract:
In early 2017, WorldFish had the opportunity to submit three candidates for the USDA CGIAR Borlaug Fellowship. This unique capacity development program links staff from specific CGIAR centers to mentors at US Land-grant Universities. Spanning approximately two years in total, the fellowships include short visits from the mentors to the host institution (WorldFish) and long visits (two to three months) of the fellow to the mentor’s university in the USA. All three fellows have now returned from their placements at their respective universities and will be presenting their research and learnings from their experience.
