Expert, academicians and institutions from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, the Phillipines, Malaysia along with the experts from Canada, UNFAO, Italy and Belgium, came together for two days in this global webinar to understand the status and manage the opportunities of small-scale fisheries in inland open waters, organized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Inland Fisheries Society of India (IFSI) & Professional Fisheries Graduate Forum (PFGF).
The webinar was inaugurated by Dr Jena, who is involved in Fisheries Science in ICAR, New Delhi on the first day. For WorldFish, our very own Research Program Leader for Small-scale Fisheries, Pip Cohen, spoke about the a suite of approaches, practices and research is needed to support nutrition-sensitive fisheries futures in India.
