The Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services Society (ARIASS) manages and coordinates externally funded projects as authorized by the Government of Assam. The society was created as an autonomous body by the state government in 1998, which is headed by the Chief Secretary of Assam. Embracing a “mission mode” implementation approach, ARIASS has contributed to mainstreaming several good practices that emerged from the projects based on various schemes of the Government of Assam.
