Technologies for African Agriculture Transformation (TAAT) Aquaculture Compact Leader
Bernadette Tosan Fregene started working with WorldFish 02 July 2018 as the Technologies for African Agriculture Transformation (TAAT) Aquaculture Compact Leader; project funded by African Development Bank and WorldFish led. Bernadette has acquired more than 30 years of professional working experience in aquaculture and fisheries extension, economics, marketing and dissemination of aquaculture technologies for improved livelihoods. Other areas include project development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of donor funded projects, and academic tutoring. Before joining WorldFish, Bernadette Fregene lectured in Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, University of Ibadan as Professor of Extension and Economics, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She previously also worked with the Federal Department of Fisheries, Ilorin, Nigeria. Bernadette facilitates the implementation and monitoring of aquaculture value chain activities in 12 countries: Burundi, Cameroon, Cote D’Ivoire, DRCongo, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Republic of Benin, Tanzania, Togo and Zambia. Bernadette is based in WorldFish Nigeria Office, IITA Ibadan, Nigeria. She communicates in English and French Languages.
