Chin Yee Chan joined WorldFish in 2014. Her research has focused mainly on fish foresight modeling, involving quantitative assessments of fish production, consumption and trade patterns at global, regional, and national levels. Chan's research helps decision-makers to prioritize investments and policy interventions that align with the CGIAR’s objectives and key Sustainable Development Goals. She also works with IFPRI foresight modeling team using IMPACT model to project future supply-demand analysis in Africa and ASEAN region and collaborates with partners from Australia National University to build the WorldFish country-level fish foresight model. Before joining WorldFish, she worked for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the United States for eight years, where she received extensive training in both clinical and translational research, and biochemical sciences.
