overseas work experience in Asia (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos
PDR, Myanmar, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and
Viet Nam);

teams on donor funded (i.e. AECID, Danida, EU, GIZ ODA/DFID, UNDP, and
USAID) aquaculture and fisheries development projects;

processing and marketing, research and development, training and

farms and aquaculture auditor;

Shrimp hatcheries;
Finfish and crustacean farms
(land based ponds and freshwater and brackishwater cage culture);
Finfish, crustacea, and
mollusc hatcheries;
Marine cage farms; and,
Seafood processing plants.

auditor;
Author of the online Food and
Agriculture Organization aquaculture fact sheet on Pangasius
hypophthalmus;
Author of over 20 aqua-centric
technical reports and publications;
An ecologist by first degree,
having specialized in i) fisheries management, ii) watershed management
and iii) environmental pollution;
First-hand experience working
on poverty focused technology development, participatory rural appraisal
and participatory process projects and supervising projects with
sustainable livelihoods and community co-management components; and,
Thorough understanding of the
difficulties of facilitating collaboration between different government
departments and staff, the private sector, NGO’s, and stakeholder
communities, and the complexities of negotiation within Asian
cultural norms; and,
Fluent Thai speaker, good Laotian and basic
Vietnamese language skills.
