Lorenzo Longobard is a data scientist specializing in data analysis, automation, and algorithm development. His work focuses on exploring, manipulating, and mining information from data to support research and decision-making. He holds a PhD in Marine Sciences from the Open University of London, in collaboration with Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn in Naples, Italy.

Before joining WorldFish in March 2021, Lorenzo conducted research on biological and physicochemical processes in the pelagic environment. His work involved developing models and performing statistical analyses of global oceanographic time-series to better understand marine ecosystems. At WorldFish, he supports and maintains data-driven projects and initiatives, optimizing analytical solutions and automating data pipelines to enhance research efficiency.
