Dr. Khondker Murshed-e-Jahan has over 23 years of experience in agriculture, aquaculture, and fisheries.  Prior to joining WorldFish he worked with organizations like Winrock International and CIMMYT. His expertise includes technology dissemination, community-based management, food security, and nutrition, with a strong proficiency in scaling development solutions through market-based and entrepreneurial approaches. He has implemented digital solutions to enhance food security and nutrition in partnership with NGOs and private sector entities.

Dr. Jahan has held leadership roles such as Project Leader, Deputy Project Manager, and Senior Monitoring and Learning Specialist, managing research and innovation portfolios across South Asia, delivering high-quality results. His work also involves designing and implementing ME&L systems for major donors like BMGF, USAID, USDA, and the EU, using both quantitative and qualitative methods to assess project impacts.

With a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Economics from University Putra Malaysia. Dr. Jahan is currently co-leading the CGIAR Initiative on Securing the Food Systems of Asian Mega-Deltas while continuing to lead key projects within WorldFish.
