I am an environment and natural resource management specialist with 20 years of research and program management experience in the field of fisheries policy, aquatic resource management, and environmental conservation, in several countries in Asia and Africa. As a scientist and a senior representative of WorldFish in the Greater Mekong Region, I have led or contributed to various research projects supported by development partners including ADB, USAID, Japan, Australia, and served as a primary liaison with local governments and development partners in the region. Prior to joining WorldFish in 2005, I worked for 6 years as a researcher at the World Resources Institute (WRI) in Washington DC, where I led or contributed to several interdisciplinary research projects in collaboration with such partners as FAO, IWMI, UNEP, and the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, and co-authored a number of research publications and journal articles. I also worked as a consultant to the World Bank, WWF, and Oxfam America on short-term assignments.
