The International Institute of Fisheries Economics & Trade (IIFET) is a global organization that hosts an international forum biennially for the exchange of research, information, and ideas on the economics of ocean fisheries and aquaculture trade and management. The goal is to advance the productive use of economic theory and analysis to answer critical questions surrounding the sustainable use of marine resources and to ensure the future livelihoods of those who produce food from the sea.
This year at the IIFET 2022, social scientists, managers, and industry members from all of the world's aquatic food system sectors will come together to address a variety of both applied and theoretical topics, interact with the world's foremost fisheries and aquaculture economists and learn more about research, innovation, technologies and small-scale activities across the globe.
As part of our commitments to explore solutions that connect social, economic and environmental challenges afflicting ocean fisheries and aquaculture trade and management, WorldFish will support the goals of IIFET by continuing to showcase our research and innovation via the frameworks of WorldFish's '2030 Research and Innovation Strategy' and CGIAR's initiative in 'Resilient Aquatic Foods for Healthy People and Planet.'
Stay up to date with the latest information by following WorldFish and the hashtag #aquaticfoods to join the virtual dialogue on Twitter.
We look forward to your active participation.
