In this global conference hosted by Springer Nature and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), policymakers, government representatives, UN officials, as well as leading scientists from around the world discussed the role of science in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

WorldFish’s Global Lead in Nutrition and Public Health Shakuntala Thilsted joined the session on ‘Food Systems: Aquatic and Terrestrial Food’ to draw on her expertise as the UN Food Systems Summit Vice Chair of Action Track 4 ‘Advancing equitable livelihoods,’ to highlight the critical importance of advancing research and innovations in aquatic food systems and prioritizing action plans to further include their diverse benefits in the global food systems agenda.
