AI for Good, The United Nations’ leading platform on Artificial Intelligence to solve global challenges, is identifying innovative AI applications, building skills and standards, and advancing partnerships to solve global challenges.
AI for Good is organized by ITU in partnership with over 40 UN Sister Agencies and co-convened with the Government of Switzerland, and will focus on:
- Bringing stakeholders together to harness AI’s potential to solve global challenges.
- Facilitating exchanges between key stakeholders on effective approaches to AI governance
- Developing AI standards to create more opportunities for innovation and digital transformation worldwide.
- Empowering people with the tools and knowledge to thrive in the AI era—nurturing the future wave of innovators.
WorldFish participation:
- Smart-Catch, WorldFish's integrating AI-powered suite that optimizes small-scale fisheries vessel routes, improves catch reporting, and enables climate-smart management, is a finalist of the "Meet the AI for Planet" #AIforGood Impact Awards.
- The AI for Good Impact Awards Programme celebrates exceptional achievements in the field of AI, recognizing innovative and impactful AI solutions that contribute to global progress in three key categories: AI for People, AI for Planet, and AI for Prosperity.
- Look forward to WorldFish's Data Scientist, Lorenzo Longobardi, at the finale to learn importance of transforming environmental and fisheries data into policy-ready insights.
