Think20 (T20) is an official Engagement Group of the G20. It serves as an “idea bank” for the G20 by bringing together think tanks and high-level experts to discuss policy issues relevant to the G20. The Think20 Inception Conference will be the first of the key T20 Convenings under India’s G20 Presidency and will lay the groundwork for what Think20 India aims to achieve during the year.
The Conference will involve groups of think tanks, research institutions, and members of the Task Forces that are a part of the T20 India process. The two-day conference will feature panel discussions and breakout sessions for each Task Force. During the course of two days, members of each Task Force will present their ideas and priorities, as well as the Plan of Action, which they are then synthesized into policy briefs and presented to G20 working groups, ministerial meetings, and leaders’ summits to help the G20 deliver concrete policy measures.
