A series of deep-dive discussions on global initiatives toward achieving a sustainable ocean economy.
Date: Monday-Friday, 1-5 March 2021
Time: 20:00 PM - 01:00 AM (UTC+8)
This event, hosted by The Economist Group's World Ocean Initiative, explored the role and contributions of aquatic foods from the ocean combined with sustainable financing and management to address issues of food security, nutrition and the environmental impacts on land and water systems faced by vulnerable coastal communities amidst COVID-19 and climate change.
The event brought together experts from research, government, public, private and financial institutions working in six dedicated tracks, including fisheries and aquaculture, to initiate high-level conversations that will feed into policies and decision-making, critical to accelerating the sustainable development of the ocean economy.
