Context and WorldFish Participation:

Climate Week NYC, the biggest annual climate event of its kind, is back.

The event takes place annually in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and is run in coordination with the United Nations and the City of New York. It brings together inspiring heads of government, climate leaders, action-takers, and innovators from the world of business, government, politics, tech, academia, and civil society. They'll drive the transition forward and turn those who aren't yet going fast enough into action-takers.

Director General, Essam Yassin Mohammed, will lead WorldFish's participation in the New York Climate Week at the Walton Family Foundation’s Blue Foods Panel, a family-led foundation that tackles tough social and environmental problems, particularly in aquatic food systems, with urgency and a long-term approach to create access to opportunity for people and communities. The session will highlight the importance of sustainable aquatic foods in the global food security solution.
