Research Analyst

Kai Ching is research analyst in sustainable aquaculture team from WorldFish, Penang. He is working on aquaculture performance assessment and foresight modeling of fisheries. His journey into aquatic world started since his bachelor's degree on marine biotechnology in NSYSU (Taiwan), then later as a senior marine biologist in Underwater World Singapore where he worked with large variety of marine creatures. Kai Ching also holds a master’s degree in marine science from Universiti Malaysia Sabah, with his study focusing on the correlation between environmental factors and the community structure of fish and invertebrate in  coastal environment at northern Sabah, Malaysia. His interest is in marine ecology, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, ichthyology, environmental impact, biodiversity and taxonomy. He is experienced in working with different types of project including ecological profiling, environmental impact assessment, aquaculture system, fish biology, and conservation.
