I have obtained Master of Applied Science in Aquaculture from James Cook University, Australia and Master of Science in Fisheries Management from Bangladesh Agricultural University.

I have more than 16 years of practical working experience in in the field of sustainable aquaculture and small-scale fisheries to improve the livelihoods of the poor and extreme poor households in the rural, urban and coastal areas of Bangladesh.

During my works in different projects of a number of organizations like WorldFish, UNDP, FAO and CARE, I was involved in mobilizing target community, assessing aquaculture status of target beneficiaries, identifying their aquaculture development needs and opportunities, developing aquaculture development strategy and planning and implementation of aquaculture interventions as alternate income generating activities (AIGAs) for their livelihoods.

I have demonstrated progressive experience in providing technical expertise in the areas of aquaculture and fisheries that focus on fisher and fisher women in the coastal communities. I am efficient in building and maintaining strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including private sectors, NGOs, financial service providers, development actors and government for developing aquaculture value chain for the target beneficiaries.

I am efficient and well experienced in planning, budgeting, coordination, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of aquaculture interventions. I am skilled in maintaining liaison with all relevant units to ensure coordinated planning and implementation of aquaculture interventions.

I am highly capable for undertaking advocacy for persons of concern’s access to aquaculture opportunities and for inclusion in development plans as relevant. I have the ability to think clearly and analytically and working with multidisciplinary teams effectively. I am efficient in planning own work, setting priorities and completing it under pressure or when faced with competing demands.

I am fluent in English in all the forms (writing, reading and speaking). My study in Australia improved my English proficiency further. I have high command on computer literacy for reporting and presentation. I am competent in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook), SPSS, web-based e-mail and internet browsing.

I have strong analytical, reporting and writing capabilities. I am well experienced in developing project documents like preparing project reports (e.g. monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports, end of assignment report, etc.), newsletters, booklets, leaflets, technical notes, publication in newspapers and journals, preparing concept notes and project proposals, ToRs, job advertisements, MoUs and MoAs.
