Sissel Rogne is the current Project Director at the Institute of Marine Research. Formerly she was Managing Director (CEO) of the Institute of Marine Research (2016-2021) and CEO of the Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board and part-time professor at the University of Bergen (UiB) and Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). Rogne is a cell biologist with a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo. She has held various researcher and leadership positions, including Director of Research at NMBU, and has broad experience from various scientific boards, both at a national and international level.
