Context and WorldFish Participation::

As a regional partner of Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Food Security, Policy Research, Capacity and Influence (PRCI) project, funded by USAID, Can Tho University's School of Economics is organizing a workshop on 'Food security challenges in marginalized and vulnerable areas.'

The workshop aims to provide:

-background information of cross-country research issues and challenges of food security in selected marginalized and vulnerable littoral areas of Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines

-exposure to researchers to food security challenges in marginalized and vulnerable areas of the Mekong River Delta

-analytical tools and conceptual framework for research on food security

WorldFish's Mak Sithirith will discuss food system governance in the Cambodian Mekong Delta, particularly on opportunities and challenges in food production, food security, migration, and indebtedness.
