Water for society: Including all
World Water Week is organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) and takes place in Stockholm, Sweden on an annual basis. It has been the focal point for global water issues since 1991. It is foremost a collaborative learning experience, providing a unique forum and opportunity to facilitate the exchange of views, experiences, and practices between the scientific, business, policy and civil society.
For this year, the theme will focus on Water for society – Including all with the seminars driven by the Scientific Programme Committee and many other sessions focused on many important aspects of this theme.
On Thursday 29 August 2019 during the World Water Week, under program "Inland fisheries, freshwater governance, and the 2030 Agenda" session from 16.00-17.30 (GMT+1) at Room L11, Dr. Sonali Senaratna Sellamuttu, IWMI Representative Southeast Asia and Myanmar also a member of FISH Management Committee (MC) of CGIAR Research Program on Fish Agri-Food Systems (FISH) led by WorldFish, will be presenting on "Inland fisheries in multifunctional landscapes: how to increase fish productivity in man-made multi-use landscapes" during the Ignite-style speed presentations. World Water Week is building on SIWI’s mission to leverage knowledge and our convening power to strengthen water governance for a just, prosperous, and sustainable future. The World Water Week program consists of seminars, workshops, plenaries, live-interviews and much more.
