The Ocean is under threat from combined pressures such as climate change, overfishing, pollution, and conflicting uses. It is also a source of solutions, for example, to mitigate and adapt to climate change.

The Ocean urgently needs decisive, swift, and unified efforts to address its critical condition and maximize the solutions it offers. This presents a major challenge for the global community. The goal is to spur action and implement SDG 14, which is the least funded of all Sustainable Development Goals.

WorldFish Participation:

  • As a champion of SDG 14 (Life Under Water), WorldFish will promote science and innovation in sustainable fisheries from the ocean and bring examples of this work to demonstrate evidence.
  • WorldFish will participate in three ‘town halls’ to discuss ocean governance and social-ecological systems frameworks. This will build on our next participation at the UN Ocean Conference

We look forward to your active participation. Click here to learn more.
