The 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is themed “Better together: 80 years and more for peace, development and human rights”. This year, UNGA will highlight the urgency of delivering on the promise of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and aims to reinvigorate global cooperation on it. The week of 20-26 September, the UN Deputy Secretary-General will convene high-level dialogues for a deep dive into the pressing challenges and potential solutions.

TILAPIA 2025, the 5th edition of the series, will be held in collaboration with the 13th International Symposium on Tilapia in Aquaculture (ISTA13); the University of Arizona; US Soybean Export Council (USSEC); and with the technical support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Themed "Innovation, Integration and Profitability in Tilapia Aquaculture: Modernisation for a New Era", TILAPIA 2025 will present updates on the production status of global, regional and major tilapia producing countries.

The International Sustainability Congress (ISC) 2025 is a two-day flagship event themed “Preserving Biodiversity, Driving Sustainable Futures”. In conjunction with the, "Love Our Turtle: IKHTIAR Foundation Call-to-Action Campaign," this congress brings together government leaders, businesses, NGOs, communities, and youth to drive real action on biodiversity, ESG, and sustainability. 

A virtual training program will be held to explore a set of innovative solutions, tips and techniques of certification and sustainability standards in aquaculture with showcasing a set of different case studies.

The Africa Food Systems Forum 2025 is a premier gathering of public and private sector leaders, policymakers, researchers, development partners, and youth champions dedicated to transforming food systems across the continent. Hosted under the leadership of H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE, President of the Republic of Senegal, this year’s forum will focus on the theme, “Africa’s Youth Leading Collaboration, Innovation, and Implementation of Agri-Food Systems Transformation.”
