Dr Charles Iyangbe has more than 25 years’ experience in agribusiness development, project design and management, and strategic partnership building across Africa. His career spans agricultural economics, food security, and livelihoods, with leadership roles in organisations such as Abt Global, Heifer International, USAID, Catholic Relief Services, and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA).
Prior to joining WorldFish, Dr Iyangbe was Global Business Development Executive at Abt Global, shaping the organisation’s growth strategy in West Africa. He also served as Regional Director for Business Development and Signature Programs at Heifer International, providing leadership in resource mobilisation and strategic engagement across the continent.
Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Agriculture Economist with USAID/Nigeria, where he contributed to the formulation and implementation of Nigeria’s agricultural policy and supported the country’s Global Food Security Strategy to increase investments in food security, build resilience, and improve household nutrition.
Dr Iyangbe holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics and is recognised for his expertise in agribusiness development, partnership building, and strategic leadership in Africa.
