Scientist

Hazrat Ali, is a Scientist at WorldFish Bangladesh with extensive expertise in aquaculture value chain performance, production systems, health management, gender and social analysis, and market-based approaches. He earned his Ph.D. from Bangladesh Agricultural University, with research on the emerging aquaculture value chain in Bangladesh. 

Dr. Ali has significant experience in implementing project activities, managing field teams, and coordinating with partner organizations, government officials, and other stakeholders. He has led several large-scale aquaculture household and value chain surveys in Bangladesh and Nepal, using quantitative and qualitative methods, including SenseMaker and MSC stories. With experience in market-based approaches like Participatory Market Chain Approach (PMCA) within the M4P framework, he has contributed to strengthening market linkages and promoting entrepreneurship among smallholders. Dr. Ali is skilled in digital survey design (ODK), data analysis (STATA, SPSS, NVivo), and has a strong publication record in high-impact scientific journals (Google Scholar) and has contributed to evidence-based communication materials
