Ibrahim is fresh graduate where he holds a BSc on Fish Resources specialized in Marine Fisheries Technology (Suez University), Before graduating he worked on a number of fishing vessels as professional fisherman and after graduation worked as an assistant captain on different types and sizes of fishing vessels in the Egyptian Commercial Fishing Sector.

Ibrahim Joined to the Worldfish, Egypt team as Fisheries Research Assistant in March 2018, worked in a number of projects and studies include: Youth Employment in Aswan Governorate (YEAG), Consultancy Mission: Capturing Value from Egyptian Aquaculture and Fish Supply Chain and Illuminating Hidden Harvests, The contribution of small-scale fisheries to sustainable development.
