WorldFish Emeritus Scientist
Dr. Chadag Vishnumurthy Mohan is appointed as WorldFish’s first Emeritus Scientist after he retired from heading WorldFish’s Aquatic Animal Health research program for a decade. He holds a PhD in aquatic animal pathology from the University of Stirling, Scotland, and worked as an academic for 20 years at the College of Fisheries, University of Agricultural Sciences, Mangalore, India. Before joining WorldFish in April 2014, he worked for the Network of Aquaculture Centres in Asia-Pacific based in Bangkok for 11 years supporting sustainable aquaculture research and development programs with 18 Asia-Pacific governments. He was the Chairperson of the Fish Health Section (FHS) of Asian Fisheries Society (AFS) for the period 2011–2014 and has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
