Grants Specialist

Mr. Md. Didarul Islam working as Grants Specialist at WorldFish Bangladesh & South Aisa office under the “Feed the Future Bangladesh Aquaculture & Nutrition Activity (BANA)” I am highly committed with development background and looking for challenging opportunities in the field of development and domestic level. I am able to work independently with optimistic attitude, effective communication and leadership skill. I am dynamic team player and capable enough to motivate the team members. My total career has been grown up with local, national and International organizations as well. During last more than 12 years, I worked with Management System International (MSI), International Development Enterprises (iDE), Plan International Bangladesh, CARE Bangladesh, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), Shishu Polli Plus-International (SPP) and different national level development organizations. I hold the designations such as Grants Specialist, Accounts Coordinator-Partner Support, Sub Grants Officer, Finance & Admin Manager and Finance & Administrative Officer. I developed my specialization particularly in the field of Sub Grant, Accounts, Finance, Administration as well as developing financial and operational policy, designing financial system of an organization. 

Especially I have trained by Inside NGO and excellent knowledge on USAID rules & regulations. More than five years I have worked with USAID funded SHOUHARDO, SHOUHARDO II, Nobo Jibon and Protecting Human Rights (PHR) projects in Bangladesh. I also worked directly with Deputy Chief of Party on grants management issues and support to grants management team during implementation of project.  I have excellent knowledge on close out and during my career; I have worked with 03 USAID projects closeout. I have prepared donor (USAID) financial report (SF-425) and strategic plan for project and organization need, financial progress & accuracy and budget monitoring, pipe line analysis, PNGOs fund management, Fund Tracking, Cost share, Match Fund, Fund adjustment & next fund disbursement, recruitment & logistic support and functioning Human Resources Management component. I have received different types of professional training courses in home for developing my career. I am able quiet and good in communication both Bengali and English in all the means. I am able to operate Accounting Software (OCS, Fulcrum, SUN SCALA, PAMODZI & SAP) as required and Microsoft Office programs properly. I have enough practical working experience on Financial and Administrative Management in different position within the length of my service in the field of development. I am formulating multi-year, annual, semi-annual and quarterly financial plan and have implemented as well as part view of financial project activities/ interventions in relation to plan. Allocated task to the staff and approved their schedule after necessary review and adjustment.
